We are in the 7 week. Wow!!! I had my mid way dunk today to measure body fat. I did go down in my body fat but gain lean mass, so I gain a pound. At first glance I was a little disappointed because my clothes are fitting different. David at Fitness Wave state this is to be expect so I am moving on.
A new move in training was a full push up and walking on my hand and feet for 5 yards. That was a challenge. Doing push-ups are challenging in my opinion and was frustrated just a bit. I laugh about it in the end. Laughter is always the best medicine.

I feel the same way, Connie. My numbers did improve, if only a little, and I do need to keep moving on!
Wonder what we are about to do this morning?....
Love you!

Connie,
I was discouraged after the first testing period because I had gained so much lean mass, which was really good for me...but had not lost as much fat as I had hoped. However, it turned out that gaining lean mass is just like getting your engine started. Once that happens, the fat mass gets burned more easily. I also learned to cut my calories just a bit more to encourage the fat loss.
The dunking is so beneficial to really know where you are headed, so you don't spend 12 weeks just wondering and wandering. It is so helpful to get the system refined by the end of the 12 weeks. Then you can continue with confidence, knowing your body and what it requires and how it works.
You are doing great, Connie! I am so proud of you, especially in the push-up and bear crawl areas...two of my weakest exercises. And laughter, well now...that is the best medicine!
Love following you!
Renee
Hey Connie! Had a blast teaming with you in frisbee today! Wish I were taller...and Carter can't help me there! Oh well, let's do this thing called Healthquest and get in shape! Cyndi
